Developer documentation

From first request to reliable workflow.

Fictional API examples demonstrate a complete documentation layout. They do not connect to a real service.

Overview

Nexora's fictional API uses predictable resources, JSON requests, and standard HTTP status codes. Every example on this page is safe demonstration content.

Base URL: https://api.example.com/v1

Authentication

Send a scoped sample key in the Authorization header. Never expose a production secret in client-side code.

Authorization: Bearer demo_key_replace_me
Warning: The included key is not functional. Replace this example with your real authentication guidance.

Create an event

Use a typed event name and a compact properties object.

const result = await fetch(
  "https://api.example.com/v1/events",
  { method: "POST" }
);

Example response

{ "id": "evt_sample_482", "accepted": true }

Errors

Return one stable error code, a human-readable message, and a request identifier for support.

Status Meaning Recommended action
400 Invalid request Review the field details.
401 Authentication failed Check the environment key.
429 Rate limited Retry with backoff.

Webhooks

Verify the sample signature before processing a delivery, record the event identifier, and make handlers idempotent.
